The History of Feta

If you’re wondering why Greek’s are so obsessed with feta it’s because it’s been around for basically as long as humanity. It comes from the very first cheese that was made over 8,000 years ago. The first mention of feta is in Homer’s Odyssey which dates back to the 8th century BC. So all that’s to say, us Greek’s grew up with this delicious cheese and created so many different ways to use it in our diets.
